The New Franchise Regulations - three major changes

After two years of non-stop discussion about the Measures for the Regulation of Commercial Franchises in the international franchising community the new Regulation will come into effect on 1 May 2007.

So what was all the discussion about? One thing is for sure, the new Regulation reflects that the Chinese government is willing to adopt a more liberal regulatory system. The Regulation is significantly different from the predecessor that caused so much concern among the international franchising community and will apply to all franchise operations in China.
