Dear Jennifer,

He will be liable of IIT on his salary inside China. If he stays inside China for over 183 days, his income in HK will also be liable for IIT in China as it will be viewed as income that was China-source income.

Regards,

For an expat who signed two contract of employment: one in HK and one in China. The two companies that he worked with are related. If he spent most of the time working in China (say >90 days).

Q: Is he liable for IIT on both contracts in China or only for the contract signed in China and continue to pay HK tax on the HK contract ?

Appreciate your reply ASAP.
