China Cancels Export Rebates on 406 Products

Jun. 24 – The Ministry of Finance issued a statement on Tuesday canceling export rebates on 406 products, effective July 15, 2010.

Caishui [2010] No. 57, issued on June 22, lists 406 goods that can no longer enjoy export rebates from July 15 onwards, including:

  • Certain steel material
  • Certain non-ferrous metal processing materials
  • Silver powder
  • Alcohol and corn starch
  • Certain pesticides, pharmaceuticals and chemical products
  • Certain plastic products, rubber products and glass products

The specific execution time will be in accordance with the export date indicated by the Customs “declaration of export goods (export tax rebates only).”

The ministry did not offer any reasons for this move.
