Dezan Shira & Associates’ Charlotte office at 700 East Morehead Street

Founder Chris Devonshire-Ellis also set to conduct U.S. lecture tour covering China-ASEAN due diligence and regulatory comparisons

Mar. 12 – Dezan Shira & Associates, the specialist foreign direct investment legal and tax consultancy, has opened an office in the United States. The office is based in the downtown financial district of Charlotte, North Carolina, and is currently headed by Jessica Tou, who has relocated from the firm’s Beijing office. Charlotte is the second largest banking center in the United States after New York City, and the city is the home of Bank of America. Charlotte is also home to a significant number of Fortune 500 companies, in addition to possessing a large auto and energy-driven corporate sector.

We look forward to a long and successful cooperation with the business and financial community in the area and are excited about promoting our services in Asia throughout the region,” said Chris Devonshire-Ellis, the firm’s founding partner.

Devonshire-Ellis is also undertaking a tour of the United States and is lecturing about investment opportunities in China, India and Vietnam at the Hot Markets Watch Conference organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce in Cincinnati on March 22. He is a keynote speaker covering two topics:

  • China, ASEAN and Vietnam Cost Comparisons
  • China and ASEAN Financial, Regulatory and Due Diligence Considerations

Devonshire-Ellis will also be in the cities listed below and available for meetings should people wish to meet with him to discuss business in China and Asia.
