There’s lots going on around Eurasia as we host summaries of the outcomes of the 7th Belt and Road Summit, as well as Russian President Putin’s comments at the Far East Economic Forum. Egypt is fast becoming a major player, and may be elevated at Wednesday’s Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting in Samarkand, we examine its trade relations with China, India, and Russia. With the Middle East having an emerging role within the SCO, we look at China’s regional free trade and related agreements.
Elsewhere, India’s position with the US-led IPEF is explained, while we look at several examples of growing Middle East trade relations with ASEAN and South Asia. It’s a fast-moving world out there and it pays to keep abreast of the changes.
