Shenzhen Announces Public Holidays for Universiade

Jul. 25 – The Shenzhen government has issued public holiday arrangements for the 26th Summer Universiade (August 12-23, 2011), which applies to all governmental departments and institutions, schools and non-government organizations in Shenzhen. Other enterprises and groups can make relevant arrangements at their discretion. The seven-day holiday is broken down into two parts, four days and three days each, at the beginning and closing of the Universiade. The four-day Opening Ceremony Holiday is from August 11 (Thursday) to August 14 (Sunday), and the three-day Closing Ceremony Holiday is from August 22 (Monday) to August 24 (Wednesday).

The days off on August 11, 22 and 24 will be made up by shifting working days to August 6 (Saturday) and August 20-21 (Saturday and Sunday).
