The new December issue of Asia Investment Research (AIR) on attracting Chinese equity investment to your business is now online and available as a complimentary download on the AIR website.

Titled Real Value In Chinese Minority Stakes, the magazine details six unique case studies of Chinese outbound investment in new tech businesses involved in biotech, electric vehicles, and electric air mobility. Chinese businesses took minority stakes in these to assist with product development, raising additional capital, and gaining market access. The return on these investments – all made since 2019 – for all stakeholders has been both faster and more profitable than the averages.

The issue then explains how foreign businesses can examine Chinese state policy, sectors in which foreign investment is encouraged, and applicable tax and other incentives to position themselves to attract Chinese equity investment interest. The issue concludes with commentary about prospective China partner due diligence.

The magazine was written jointly by Henry Tillman of China Investment Research and Chris Devonshire-Ellis of Dezan Shira & Associates.
