China–India Investment Events to be Held in Shanghai and Beijing

May 20 – Dezan Shira & Associates is hosting two China-India investment seminars in Beijing and Shanghai next week that details aspects of bilateral trade between the two countries as well as investment opportunities for businesses in China to participate in India.

The seminars will be presented by Chris Devonshire-Ellis, the firm’s founding partner, who will discuss bilateral trade and India investment opportunities; Manjeet Kripalani, executive director of Gateway House and ex-CEO of BusinessWeek, who will discuss bilateral trade and relations; and Mark Hannant of Veri Communications who will discuss corporate communications in India.

The seminar will then be followed by the launch of the new India Briefing Guide to Doing Business in India and a cocktail networking event. The event will also feature a performance from the Incredible India campaign, complimentary drinks and snacks.

Bilateral trade between China and India is expected to reach US$60 billion this year and marks the 60th anniversary of Sino-India diplomatic relations. India’s President, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil is also in China next week on a state visit. The China-India events are the perfect opportunity to learn about the dynamics between the two emerging nations and the potential for business in India for China-based businesses.
