Economists globally seem to think that emerging economies will come out of this crisis sooner and stronger than the developed economies. Large companies in these economies are already buying more developed world companies than two years ago. China-Vietnam Friendship Year Set for 2010
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries, Vietnam and China have mutually agreed to launch the “China-Vietnam Friendship Year” in 2010. As a part of this year of friendship, both countries have vowed to resolve their border disputes in a peaceful and effective manner as well as enhance cooperation in science, technology, agriculture and athletics. Two American Reporters Detained in North Korea
The two captured journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, were doing a report for the U.S.-based Current TV on North Korean refugees in China. Two others, reporter Mitch Koss and an unidentified Chinese guide, were also part of the television crew, but managed to escape back to the Chinese border. (Communist Tax Lawyer)
