The original Jazz Band is now all retired, although I managed to catch them years ago when they were still 'young' (about 80) and reasonably competent. However, the hotel ripped up the beautiful pine sprung dance floor that used to be just in front of the band a few years back, which was a great shame. If Fairmont have any sense they'll have found it and had it re-installed. I've had some great time there in the past, It's probably China's best known historic hotel and I'm looking forward to seeing it back in its full glory. - Chris
